That is, the king's leader, or attendant. (Dan 2:26); (Dan 4:8); (Dan 4:9); (Dan 4:18); (Dan 4:19); (Dan 5:12). Identical in meaning with Belshazzar.

Daniel 1:21

That is, to see the return of the remnant of Judah at the end of the 70 years, (Jer 25:11); (Jer 25:12); (Jer 29:10). Daniel actually lived beyond the first year of Cyrus. (Dan 10:1).
