1  Then Joseph³¹³⁰ could³²⁰¹ not³⁸⁰⁸ refrain himself⁶⁶² before all³⁶⁰⁵ them that stood⁵³²⁴ by⁵⁹²¹ him; and he cried,⁷¹²¹ Cause every³⁶⁰⁵ man³⁷⁶ to go out³³¹⁸ from^{4480 5921} me. And there stood⁵⁹⁷⁵ no³⁸⁰⁸ man³⁷⁶ with⁸⁵⁴ him, while Joseph³¹³⁰ made himself known³⁰⁴⁵ unto⁴¹³ his brethren.²⁵¹

2  And he wept aloud:^{5414 853 6963 1065} and the Egyptians⁴⁷¹⁴ and the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Pharaoh⁶⁵⁴⁷ heard.⁸⁰⁸⁵

3  And Joseph³¹³⁰ said⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ his brethren,²⁵¹ I⁵⁸⁹ am Joseph;³¹³⁰ doth my father¹ yet⁵⁷⁵⁰ live?²⁴¹⁶ And his brethren²⁵¹ could³²⁰¹ not³⁸⁰⁸ answer⁶⁰³⁰ him; for³⁵⁸⁸ they were troubled⁹²⁶ at his presence.^{4480 6440}

4  And Joseph³¹³⁰ said⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ his brethren,²⁵¹ Come near⁵⁰⁶⁶ to⁴¹³ me, I pray you.⁴⁹⁹⁴ And they came near.⁵⁰⁶⁶ And he said,⁵⁵⁹ I⁵⁸⁹ am Joseph³¹³⁰ your brother,²⁵¹ whom⁸³⁴ ye sold⁴³⁷⁶ into Egypt.⁴⁷¹⁴

5  Now⁶²⁵⁸ therefore be not⁴⁰⁸ grieved,⁶⁰⁸⁷ nor⁴⁰⁸ angry²⁷³⁴ with yourselves,⁵⁸⁶⁹ that³⁵⁸⁸ ye sold⁴³⁷⁶ me hither:²⁰⁰⁸ for³⁵⁸⁸ God⁴³⁰ did send⁷⁹⁷¹ me before⁶⁴⁴⁰ you to preserve life.⁴²⁴¹

6  For³⁵⁸⁸ these²⁰⁸⁸ two years⁸¹⁴¹ hath the famine⁷⁴⁵⁸ been in⁷¹³⁰ the land:⁷⁷⁶ and yet⁵⁷⁵⁰ there are five²⁵⁶⁸ years,⁸¹⁴¹ in the which⁸³⁴ there shall neither³⁶⁹ be earing²⁷⁵⁸ nor harvest.⁷¹⁰⁵

7  And God⁴³⁰ sent⁷⁹⁷¹ me before⁶⁴⁴⁰ you to preserve⁷⁷⁶⁰ you a posterity⁷⁶¹¹ in the earth,⁷⁷⁶ and to save your lives²⁴²¹ by a great¹⁴¹⁹ deliverance.⁶⁴¹³

8  So now⁶²⁵⁸ it was not³⁸⁰⁸ you⁸⁵⁹ that sent⁷⁹⁷¹ me hither,²⁰⁰⁸ but³⁵⁸⁸ God:⁴³⁰ and he hath made⁷⁷⁶⁰ me a father¹ to Pharaoh,⁶⁵⁴⁷ and lord¹¹³ of all³⁶⁰⁵ his house,¹⁰⁰⁴ and a ruler⁴⁹¹⁰ throughout all³⁶⁰⁵ the land⁷⁷⁶ of Egypt.⁴⁷¹⁴

9  Haste⁴¹¹⁶ ye, and go up⁵⁹²⁷ to⁴¹³ my father,¹ and say⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ him, Thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ thy son¹¹²¹ Joseph,³¹³⁰ God⁴³⁰ hath made⁷⁷⁶⁰ me lord¹¹³ of all³⁶⁰⁵ Egypt:⁴⁷¹⁴ come down³³⁸¹ unto⁴¹³ me, tarry⁵⁹⁷⁵ not:⁴⁰⁸

10  And thou shalt dwell³⁴²⁷ in the land⁷⁷⁶ of Goshen,¹⁶⁵⁷ and thou shalt be¹⁹⁶¹ near⁷¹³⁸ unto⁴¹³ me, thou,⁸⁵⁹ and thy children,¹¹²¹ and thy children's¹¹²¹ children,¹¹²¹ and thy flocks,⁶⁶²⁹ and thy herds,¹²⁴¹ and all³⁶⁰⁵ that⁸³⁴ thou hast:

11  And there⁸⁰³³ will I nourish³⁵⁵⁷ thee; for³⁵⁸⁸ yet⁵⁷⁵⁰ there are five²⁵⁶⁸ years⁸¹⁴¹ of famine;⁷⁴⁵⁸ lest⁶⁴³⁵ thou,⁸⁵⁹ and thy household,¹⁰⁰⁴ and all³⁶⁰⁵ that⁸³⁴ thou hast, come to poverty.³⁴²³

12  And, behold,²⁰⁰⁹ your eyes⁵⁸⁶⁹ see,⁷²⁰⁰ and the eyes⁵⁸⁶⁹ of my brother²⁵¹ Benjamin,¹¹⁴⁴ that³⁵⁸⁸ it is my mouth⁶³¹⁰ that speaketh¹⁶⁹⁶ unto⁴¹³ you.

13  And ye shall tell⁵⁰⁴⁶ my father¹ of ⁸⁵³ all³⁶⁰⁵ my glory³⁵¹⁹ in Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ and of all³⁶⁰⁵ that⁸³⁴ ye have seen;⁷²⁰⁰ and ye shall haste⁴¹¹⁶ and bring down^{3381 853} my father¹ hither.²⁰⁰⁸

14  And he fell⁵³⁰⁷ upon⁵⁹²¹ his brother²⁵¹ Benjamin's¹¹⁴⁴ neck,⁶⁶⁷⁷ and wept;¹⁰⁵⁸ and Benjamin¹¹⁴⁴ wept¹⁰⁵⁸ upon⁵⁹²¹ his neck.⁶⁶⁷⁷

15  Moreover he kissed⁵⁴⁰¹ all³⁶⁰⁵ his brethren,²⁵¹ and wept¹⁰⁵⁸ upon⁵⁹²¹ them: and after³¹⁰ that³⁶⁵¹ his brethren²⁵¹ talked¹⁶⁹⁶ with⁸⁵⁴ him.

16  And the fame⁶⁹⁶³ thereof was heard⁸⁰⁸⁵ in Pharaoh's⁶⁵⁴⁷ house,¹⁰⁰⁴ saying,⁵⁵⁹ Joseph's³¹³⁰ brethren²⁵¹ are come:⁹³⁵ and it pleased Pharaoh well,^{3190 5869 6547} and his servants.⁵⁶⁵⁰

17  And Pharaoh⁶⁵⁴⁷ said⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ Joseph,³¹³⁰ Say⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ thy brethren,²⁵¹ This²⁰⁶³ do⁶²¹³ ye; lade^{2943 853} your beasts,¹¹⁶⁵ and go,¹⁹⁸⁰ get⁹³⁵ you unto the land⁷⁷⁶ of Canaan;³⁶⁶⁷

18  And take^{3947 853} your father¹ and your households,¹⁰⁰⁴ and come⁹³⁵ unto⁴¹³ me: and I will give⁵⁴¹⁴ you ⁸⁵³ the good²⁸⁹⁸ of the land⁷⁷⁶ of Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ and ye shall eat^{398 853} the fat²⁴⁵⁹ of the land.⁷⁷⁶

19  Now thou⁸⁵⁹ art commanded,⁶⁶⁸⁰ this²⁰⁶³ do⁶²¹³ ye; take³⁹⁴⁷ you wagons⁵⁶⁹⁹ out of the land^{4480 776} of Egypt⁴⁷¹⁴ for your little ones,²⁹⁴⁵ and for your wives,⁸⁰² and bring^{5375 853} your father,¹ and come.⁹³⁵

20  Also regard^{5869 2347} not⁴⁰⁸ your stuff;³⁶²⁷ for³⁵⁸⁸ the good²⁸⁹⁸ of all³⁶⁰⁵ the land⁷⁷⁶ of Egypt⁴⁷¹⁴ is yours.

21  And the children¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ did⁶²¹³ so:³⁶⁵¹ and Joseph³¹³⁰ gave⁵⁴¹⁴ them wagons,⁵⁶⁹⁹ according to⁵⁹²¹ the commandment⁶³¹⁰ of Pharaoh,⁶⁵⁴⁷ and gave⁵⁴¹⁴ them provision⁶⁷²⁰ for the way.¹⁸⁷⁰

22  To all³⁶⁰⁵ of them he gave⁵⁴¹⁴ each man³⁷⁶ changes²⁴⁸⁷ of raiment;⁸⁰⁷¹ but to Benjamin¹¹⁴⁴ he gave⁵⁴¹⁴ three⁷⁹⁶⁹ hundred³⁹⁶⁷ pieces of silver,³⁷⁰¹ and five²⁵⁶⁸ changes²⁴⁸⁷ of raiment.⁸⁰⁷¹

23  And to his father¹ he sent⁷⁹⁷¹ after this²⁰⁶³ manner; ten⁶²³⁵ asses²⁵⁴³ laden⁵³⁷⁵ with the good things^{4480 2898} of Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ and ten⁶²³⁵ she asses⁸⁶⁰ laden⁵³⁷⁵ with corn¹²⁵⁰ and bread³⁸⁹⁹ and meat⁴²⁰² for his father¹ by the way.¹⁸⁷⁰

24  So he sent^{7971 853} his brethren²⁵¹ away, and they departed:¹⁹⁸⁰ and he said⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ them, See that ye fall not out^{7264 408} by the way.¹⁸⁷⁰

25  And they went up⁵⁹²⁷ out of Egypt,^{4480 4714} and came⁹³⁵ into the land⁷⁷⁶ of Canaan³⁶⁶⁷ unto⁴¹³ Jacob³²⁹⁰ their father,¹

26  And told⁵⁰⁴⁶ him, saying,⁵⁵⁹ Joseph³¹³⁰ is yet⁵⁷⁵⁰ alive,²⁴¹⁶ and he¹⁹³¹ is governor⁴⁹¹⁰ over all³⁶⁰⁵ the land⁷⁷⁶ of Egypt.⁴⁷¹⁴ And Jacob's heart³⁸²⁰ fainted,⁶³¹³ for³⁵⁸⁸ he believed⁵³⁹ them not.³⁸⁰⁸

27  And they told^{1696 413} him ⁸⁵³ all³⁶⁰⁵ the words¹⁶⁹⁷ of Joseph,³¹³⁰ which⁸³⁴ he had said¹⁶⁹⁶ unto⁴¹³ them: and when he saw^{7200 853} the wagons⁵⁶⁹⁹ which⁸³⁴ Joseph³¹³⁰ had sent⁷⁹⁷¹ to carry⁵³⁷⁵ him, the spirit⁷³⁰⁷ of Jacob³²⁹⁰ their father¹ revived:²⁴²¹

28  And Israel³⁴⁷⁸ said,⁵⁵⁹ It is enough;⁷²²⁷ Joseph³¹³⁰ my son¹¹²¹ is yet⁵⁷⁵⁰ alive:²⁴¹⁶ I will go¹⁹⁸⁰ and see⁷²⁰⁰ him before²⁹⁶² I die.⁴¹⁹¹

1 καὶ οὐκ ἠδύνατο Ιωσηφ ἀνέχεσθαι πάντων τῶν παρεστηκότων αὐτῷ ἀλλ᾽ εἶπεν ἐξαποστείλατε πάντας ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ οὐ παρειστήκει οὐδεὶς ἔτι τῷ Ιωσηφ ἡνίκα ἀνεγνωρίζετο τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ

2 καὶ ἀφῆκεν φωνὴν μετὰ κλαυθμοῦ ἤκουσαν δὲ πάντες οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι καὶ ἀκουστὸν ἐγένετο εἰς τὸν οἶκον Φαραω

3 εἶπεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ ἐγώ εἰμι Ιωσηφ ἔτι ὁ πατήρ μου ζῇ καὶ οὐκ ἐδύναντο οἱ ἀδελφοὶ ἀποκριθῆναι αὐτῷ ἐταράχθησαν γάρ

4 εἶπεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ ἐγγίσατε πρός με καὶ ἤγγισαν καὶ εἶπεν ἐγώ εἰμι Ιωσηφ ὁ ἀδελφὸς ὑμῶν ὃν ἀπέδοσθε εἰς Αἴγυπτον

5 νῦν οὖν μὴ λυπεῖσθε μηδὲ σκληρὸν ὑμῖν φανήτω ὅτι ἀπέδοσθέ με ὧδε εἰς γὰρ ζωὴν ἀπέστειλέν με ὁ θεὸς ἔμπροσθεν ὑμῶν

6 τοῦτο γὰρ δεύτερον ἔτος λιμὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἔτι λοιπὰ πέντε ἔτη ἐν οἷς οὐκ ἔσται ἀροτρίασις οὐδὲ ἄμητος

7 ἀπέστειλεν γάρ με ὁ θεὸς ἔμπροσθεν ὑμῶν ὑπολείπεσθαι ὑμῶν κατάλειμμα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκθρέψαι ὑμῶν κατάλειψιν μεγάλην

8 νῦν οὖν οὐχ ὑμεῖς με ἀπεστάλκατε ὧδε ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ὁ θεός καὶ ἐποίησέν με ὡς πατέρα Φαραω καὶ κύριον παντὸς τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἄρχοντα πάσης γῆς Αἰγύπτου

9 σπεύσαντες οὖν ἀνάβητε πρὸς τὸν πατέρα μου καὶ εἴπατε αὐτῷ τάδε λέγει ὁ υἱός σου Ιωσηφ ἐποίησέν με ὁ θεὸς κύριον πάσης γῆς Αἰγύπτου κατάβηθι οὖν πρός με καὶ μὴ μείνῃς

10 καὶ κατοικήσεις ἐν γῇ Γεσεμ Ἀραβίας καὶ ἔσῃ ἐγγύς μου σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν υἱῶν σου τὰ πρόβατά σου καὶ αἱ βόες σου καὶ ὅσα σοί ἐστιν

11 καὶ ἐκθρέψω σε ἐκεῖ ἔτι γὰρ πέντε ἔτη λιμός ἵνα μὴ ἐκτριβῇς σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ πάντα τὰ ὑπάρχοντά σου

12 ἰδοὺ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν βλέπουσιν καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ Βενιαμιν τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ μου ὅτι τὸ στόμα μου τὸ λαλοῦν πρὸς ὑμᾶς

13 ἀπαγγείλατε οὖν τῷ πατρί μου πᾶσαν τὴν δόξαν μου τὴν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ ὅσα εἴδετε καὶ ταχύναντες καταγάγετε τὸν πατέρα μου ὧδε

14 καὶ ἐπιπεσὼν ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον Βενιαμιν τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ ἔκλαυσεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ καὶ Βενιαμιν ἔκλαυσεν ἐπὶ τῷ τραχήλῳ αὐτοῦ

15 καὶ καταφιλήσας πάντας τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ ἔκλαυσεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῖς καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐλάλησαν οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ πρὸς αὐτόν

16 καὶ διεβοήθη ἡ φωνὴ εἰς τὸν οἶκον Φαραω λέγοντες ἥκασιν οἱ ἀδελφοὶ Ιωσηφ ἐχάρη δὲ Φαραω καὶ ἡ θεραπεία αὐτοῦ

17 εἶπεν δὲ Φαραω πρὸς Ιωσηφ εἰπὸν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς σου τοῦτο ποιήσατε γεμίσατε τὰ πορεῖα ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπέλθατε εἰς γῆν Χανααν

18 καὶ παραλαβόντες τὸν πατέρα ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ ὑπάρχοντα ὑμῶν ἥκετε πρός με καὶ δώσω ὑμῖν πάντων τῶν ἀγαθῶν Αἰγύπτου καὶ φάγεσθε τὸν μυελὸν τῆς γῆς

19 σὺ δὲ ἔντειλαι ταῦτα λαβεῖν αὐτοῖς ἁμάξας ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου τοῖς παιδίοις ὑμῶν καὶ ταῖς γυναιξίν καὶ ἀναλαβόντες τὸν πατέρα ὑμῶν παραγίνεσθε

20 καὶ μὴ φείσησθε τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς τῶν σκευῶν ὑμῶν τὰ γὰρ πάντα ἀγαθὰ Αἰγύπτου ὑμῖν ἔσται

21 ἐποίησαν δὲ οὕτως οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἔδωκεν δὲ Ιωσηφ αὐτοῖς ἁμάξας κατὰ τὰ εἰρημένα ὑπὸ Φαραω τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς ἐπισιτισμὸν εἰς τὴν ὁδόν

22 καὶ πᾶσιν ἔδωκεν δισσὰς στολάς τῷ δὲ Βενιαμιν ἔδωκεν τριακοσίους χρυσοῦς καὶ πέντε ἐξαλλασσούσας στολάς

23 καὶ τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ ἀπέστειλεν κατὰ τὰ αὐτὰ καὶ δέκα ὄνους αἴροντας ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἀγαθῶν Αἰγύπτου καὶ δέκα ἡμιόνους αἰρούσας ἄρτους τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς ὁδόν

24 ἐξαπέστειλεν δὲ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς μὴ ὀργίζεσθε ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ

25 καὶ ἀνέβησαν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἦλθον εἰς γῆν Χανααν πρὸς Ιακωβ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν

26 καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν αὐτῷ λέγοντες ὅτι ὁ υἱός σου Ιωσηφ ζῇ καὶ αὐτὸς ἄρχει πάσης γῆς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐξέστη ἡ διάνοια Ιακωβ οὐ γὰρ ἐπίστευσεν αὐτοῖς

27 ἐλάλησαν δὲ αὐτῷ πάντα τὰ ῥηθέντα ὑπὸ Ιωσηφ ὅσα εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ἰδὼν δὲ τὰς ἁμάξας ἃς ἀπέστειλεν Ιωσηφ ὥστε ἀναλαβεῖν αὐτόν ἀνεζωπύρησεν τὸ πνεῦμα Ιακωβ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν

28 εἶπεν δὲ Ισραηλ μέγα μοί ἐστιν εἰ ἔτι Ιωσηφ ὁ υἱός μου ζῇ πορευθεὶς ὄψομαι αὐτὸν πρὸ τοῦ ἀποθανεῖν με

‎1 ‏וְלֹֽא־יָכֹ֨ל יוֹסֵ֜ף לְהִתְאַפֵּ֗ק לְכֹ֤ל הַנִּצָּבִים֙ עָלָ֔יו וַיִּקְרָ֕א הוֹצִ֥יאוּ כָל־אִ֖ישׁ מֵעָלָ֑י וְלֹא־עָ֤מַד אִישׁ֙ אִתּ֔וֹ בְּהִתְוַדַּ֥ע יוֹסֵ֖ף אֶל־אֶחָֽיו׃

‎2 ‏וַיִּתֵּ֥ן אֶת־קֹל֖וֹ בִּבְכִ֑י וַיִּשְׁמְע֣וּ מִצְרַ֔יִם וַיִּשְׁמַ֖ע בֵּ֥ית פַּרְעֹֽה׃

‎3 ‏וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יוֹסֵ֤ף אֶל־אֶחָיו֙ אֲנִ֣י יוֹסֵ֔ף הַע֥וֹד אָבִ֖י חָ֑י וְלֹֽא־יָכְל֤וּ אֶחָיו֙ לַעֲנ֣וֹת אֹת֔וֹ כִּ֥י נִבְהֲל֖וּ מִפָּנָֽיו׃

‎4 ‏וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יוֹסֵ֧ף אֶל־אֶחָ֛יו גְּשׁוּ־נָ֥א אֵלַ֖י וַיִּגָּ֑שׁוּ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר אֲנִי֙ יוֹסֵ֣ף אֲחִיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־מְכַרְתֶּ֥ם אֹתִ֖י מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃

‎5 ‏וְעַתָּ֣ה׀ אַל־תֵּעָ֣צְב֗וּ וְאַל־יִ֙חַר֙ בְּעֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם כִּֽי־מְכַרְתֶּ֥ם אֹתִ֖י הֵ֑נָּה כִּ֣י לְמִֽחְיָ֔ה שְׁלָחַ֥נִי אֱלֹהִ֖ים לִפְנֵיכֶֽם׃

‎6 ‏כִּי־זֶ֛ה שְׁנָתַ֥יִם הָרָעָ֖ב בְּקֶ֣רֶב הָאָ֑רֶץ וְעוֹד֙ חָמֵ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵין־חָרִ֖ישׁ וְקָצִּֽיר׃¹

‎7 ‏וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֤נִי אֱלֹהִים֙ לִפְנֵיכֶ֔ם לָשׂ֥וּם לָכֶ֛ם שְׁאֵרִ֖ית בָּאָ֑רֶץ וּלְהַחֲי֣וֹת לָכֶ֔ם לִפְלֵיטָ֖ה גְּדֹלָֽה׃

‎8 ‏וְעַתָּ֗ה לֹֽא־אַתֶּ֞ם שְׁלַחְתֶּ֤ם אֹתִי֙ הֵ֔נָּה כִּ֖י הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיְשִׂימֵ֨נִֽי לְאָ֜ב לְפַרְעֹ֗ה וּלְאָדוֹן֙ לְכָל־בֵּית֔וֹ וּמֹשֵׁ֖ל בְּכָל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

‎9 ‏מַהֲרוּ֮ וַעֲל֣וּ אֶל־אָבִי֒ וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֣ם אֵלָ֗יו כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ בִּנְךָ֣ יוֹסֵ֔ף שָׂמַ֧נִי אֱלֹהִ֛ים לְאָד֖וֹן לְכָל־מִצְרָ֑יִם רְדָ֥ה אֵלַ֖י אַֽל־תַּעֲמֹֽד׃

‎10 ‏וְיָשַׁבְתָּ֣ בְאֶֽרֶץ־גֹּ֗שֶׁן וְהָיִ֤יתָ קָרוֹב֙ אֵלַ֔י אַתָּ֕ה וּבָנֶ֖יךָ וּבְנֵ֣י בָנֶ֑יךָ וְצֹאנְךָ֥ וּבְקָרְךָ֖ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־לָֽךְ׃

‎11 ‏וְכִלְכַּלְתִּ֤י אֹֽתְךָ֙ שָׁ֔ם כִּי־ע֛וֹד חָמֵ֥שׁ שָׁנִ֖ים רָעָ֑ב פֶּן־תִּוָּרֵ֛שׁ אַתָּ֥ה וּבֵֽיתְךָ֖ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־לָֽךְ׃

‎12 ‏וְהִנֵּ֤ה עֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ רֹא֔וֹת וְעֵינֵ֖י אָחִ֣י בִנְיָמִ֑ין כִּי־פִ֖י הַֽמְדַבֵּ֥ר אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃

‎13 ‏וְהִגַּדְתֶּ֣ם לְאָבִ֗י אֶת־כָּל־כְּבוֹדִי֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר רְאִיתֶ֑ם וּמִֽהַרְתֶּ֛ם וְהוֹרַדְתֶּ֥ם אֶת־אָבִ֖י הֵֽנָּה׃

‎14 ‏וַיִּפֹּ֛ל עַל־צַוְּארֵ֥י בִנְיָמִֽן־אָחִ֖יו וַיֵּ֑בְךְּ וּבִנְיָמִ֔ן בָּכָ֖ה עַל־צַוָּארָֽיו׃

‎15 ‏וַיְנַשֵּׁ֥ק לְכָל־אֶחָ֖יו וַיֵּ֣בְךְּ עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וְאַ֣חֲרֵי כֵ֔ן דִּבְּר֥וּ אֶחָ֖יו אִתּֽוֹ׃

‎16 ‏וְהַקֹּ֣ל נִשְׁמַ֗ע בֵּ֤ית פַּרְעֹה֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בָּ֖אוּ אֲחֵ֣י יוֹסֵ֑ף וַיִּיטַב֙ בְּעֵינֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה וּבְעֵינֵ֖י עֲבָדָֽיו׃

‎17 ‏וַיֹּ֤אמֶר פַּרְעֹה֙ אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף אֱמֹ֥ר אֶל־אַחֶ֖יךָ זֹ֣את עֲשׂ֑וּ טַֽעֲנוּ֙ אֶת־בְּעִ֣ירְכֶ֔ם וּלְכוּ־בֹ֖אוּ אַ֥רְצָה כְּנָֽעַן׃

‎18 ‏וּקְח֧וּ אֶת־אֲבִיכֶ֛ם וְאֶת־בָּתֵּיכֶ֖ם וּבֹ֣אוּ אֵלָ֑י וְאֶתְּנָ֣ה לָכֶ֗ם אֶת־טוּב֙ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וְאִכְל֖וּ אֶת־חֵ֥לֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃

‎19 ‏וְאַתָּ֥ה צֻוֵּ֖יתָה זֹ֣את עֲשׂ֑וּ קְחוּ־לָכֶם֩ מֵאֶ֨רֶץ מִצְרַ֜יִם עֲגָל֗וֹת לְטַפְּכֶם֙ וְלִנְשֵׁיכֶ֔ם וּנְשָׂאתֶ֥ם אֶת־אֲבִיכֶ֖ם וּבָאתֶֽם׃

‎20 ‏וְעֵ֣ינְכֶ֔ם אַל־תָּחֹ֖ס עַל־כְּלֵיכֶ֑ם כִּי־ט֛וּב כָּל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם לָכֶ֥ם הֽוּא׃

‎21 ‏וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־כֵן֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיִּתֵּ֨ן לָהֶ֥ם יוֹסֵ֛ף עֲגָל֖וֹת עַל־פִּ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וַיִּתֵּ֥ן לָהֶ֛ם צֵדָ֖ה לַדָּֽרֶךְ׃

‎22 ‏לְכֻלָּ֥ם נָתַ֛ן לָאִ֖ישׁ חֲלִפ֣וֹת שְׂמָלֹ֑ת וּלְבִנְיָמִ֤ן נָתַן֙ שְׁלֹ֣שׁ מֵא֣וֹת כֶּ֔סֶף וְחָמֵ֖שׁ חֲלִפֹ֥ת שְׂמָלֹֽת׃

‎23 ‏וּלְאָבִ֞יו שָׁלַ֤ח כְּזֹאת֙ עֲשָׂרָ֣ה חֲמֹרִ֔ים נֹשְׂאִ֖ים מִטּ֣וּב מִצְרָ֑יִם וְעֶ֣שֶׂר אֲתֹנֹ֡ת נֹֽ֠שְׂאֹת בָּ֣ר וָלֶ֧חֶם וּמָז֛וֹן לְאָבִ֖יו לַדָּֽרֶךְ׃

‎24 ‏וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־אֶחָ֖יו וַיֵּלֵ֑כוּ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם אַֽל־תִּרְגְּז֖וּ בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃

‎25 ‏וַֽיַּעֲל֖וּ מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן אֶֽל־יַעֲקֹ֖ב אֲבִיהֶֽם׃

‎26 ‏וַיַּגִּ֨דוּ ל֜וֹ לֵאמֹ֗ר ע֚וֹד³ יוֹסֵ֣ף חַ֔י וְכִֽי־ה֥וּא מֹשֵׁ֖ל בְּכָל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וַיָּ֣פָג לִבּ֔וֹ כִּ֥י לֹא־הֶאֱמִ֖ין לָהֶֽם׃

‎27 ‏וַיְדַבְּר֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו אֵ֣ת כָּל־דִּבְרֵ֤י יוֹסֵף֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֣ר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם וַיַּרְא֙ אֶת־הָ֣עֲגָל֔וֹת אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַ֥ח יוֹסֵ֖ף לָשֵׂ֣את אֹת֑וֹ וַתְּחִ֕י ר֖וּחַ יַעֲקֹ֥ב אֲבִיהֶֽם׃

‎28 ‏וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל רַ֛ב עוֹד־יוֹסֵ֥ף בְּנִ֖י חָ֑י אֵֽלְכָ֥ה וְאֶרְאֶ֖נּוּ בְּטֶ֥רֶם אָמֽוּת׃

Vul

1 Non se poterat ultra cohibere Joseph multis coram astantibus: unde præcepit ut egrederentur cuncti foras, et nullus interesset alienus agnitioni mutuæ.

2 Elevavitque vocem cum fletu, quam audierunt Ægyptii, omnisque domus Pharaonis.

3 Et dixit fratribus suis: Ego sum Joseph: adhuc pater meus vivit? Non poterant respondere fratres nimio terrore perterriti.

4 Ad quos ille clementer: Accedite, inquit, ad me. Et cum accessissent prope: Ego sum, ait, Joseph, frater vester, quem vendidistis in Ægyptum.

5 Nolite pavere, neque vobis durum esse videatur quod vendidistis me in his regionibus: pro salute enim vestra misit me Deus ante vos in Ægyptum.

6 Biennium est enim quod cœpit fames esse in terra: et adhuc quinque anni restant, quibus nec arari poterit, nec meti.

7 Præmisitque me Deus ut reservemini super terram, et escas ad vivendum habere possitis.

8 Non vestro consilio, sed Dei voluntate huc missum sum: qui fecit me quasi patrem Pharaonis, et dominum universæ domus ejus, ac principem in omni terra Ægypti.

9 Festinate, et ascendite ad patrem meum, et dicetis ei: Hæc mandat filius tuus Joseph: Deus fecit me dominum universæ terræ Ægypti: descende ad me, ne moreris,

10 et habitabis in terra Gessen: erisque juxta me tu, et filii tui, et filii filiorum tuorum, oves tuæ, et armenta tua, et universa quæ possides:

11 ibique te pascam (adhuc enim quinque anni residui sunt famis) ne et tu pereas, et domus tua, et omnia quæ possides.

12 En oculi vestri, et oculi fratris mei Benjamin, vident quod os meum loquatur ad vos.

13 Nuntiate patri meo universam gloriam meam, et cuncta quæ vidistis in Ægypto: festinate, et adducite eum ad me.

14 Cumque amplexatus recidisset in collum Benjamin fratris sui, flevit: illo quoque similiter flente super collum ejus.

15 Osculatusque est Joseph omnes fratres suos, et ploravit super singulos: post quæ ausi sunt loqui ad eum.

16 Auditumque est, et celebri sermone vulgatum in aula regis: Venerunt fratres Joseph: et gavisus est Pharao, atque omnis familia ejus.

17 Dixitque ad Joseph ut imperaret fratribus suis, dicens: Onerantes jumenta, ite in terram Chanaan,

18 et tollite inde patrem vestrum et cognationem, et venite ad me: et ego dabo vobis omnia bona Ægypti, ut comedatis medullam terræ.

19 Præcipe etiam ut tollant plaustra de terra Ægypti, ad subvectionem parvulorum suorum ac conjugum: et dicito: Tollite patrem vestrum, et properate quantocius venientes.

20 Nec dimittatis quidquam de supellectili vestra: quia omnes opes Ægypti vestræ erunt.

21 Feceruntque filii Israël ut eis mandatum fuerat. Quibus dedit Joseph plaustra, secundum Pharaonis imperium, et cibaria in itinere.

22 Singulis quoque proferri jussit binas stolas: Benjamin vero dedit trecentos argenteos cum quinque stolis optimis:

23 tantumdem pecuniæ et vestium mittens patri suo, addens et asinos decem, qui subveherent ex omnibus divitiis Ægypti, et totidem asinas, triticum in itinere, panesque portantes.

24 Dimisit ergo fratres suos, et proficiscentibus ait: Ne irascamini in via.

25 Qui ascendentes ex Ægypto, venerunt in terram Chanaan ad patrem suum Jacob.

26 Et nuntiaverunt ei, dicentes: Joseph filius tuus vivit: et ipse dominatur in omni terra Ægypti. Quo audito Jacob, quasi de gravi somno evigilans, tamen non credebat eis.

27 Illi e contra referebant omnem ordinem rei. Cumque vidisset plaustra et universa quæ miserat, revixit spiritus ejus,

28 et ait: Sufficit mihi si adhuc Joseph filius meus vivit: vadam, et videbo illum antequam moriar.
