1  And Israel³⁴⁷⁸ took his journey⁵²⁶⁵ with all³⁶⁰⁵ that⁸³⁴ he had, and came⁹³⁵ to Beer-sheba,⁸⁸⁴ and offered²⁰⁷⁶ sacrifices²⁰⁷⁷ unto the God⁴³⁰ of his father¹ Isaac.³³²⁷

2  And God⁴³⁰ spoke⁵⁵⁹ unto Israel³⁴⁷⁸ in the visions⁴⁷⁵⁹ of the night,³⁹¹⁵ and said,⁵⁵⁹ Jacob,³²⁹⁰ Jacob.³²⁹⁰ And he said,⁵⁵⁹ Here²⁰⁰⁹ am I.

3  And he said,⁵⁵⁹ I⁵⁹⁵ am God,⁴¹⁰ the God⁴³⁰ of thy father:¹ fear³³⁷² not⁴⁰⁸ to go down^{4480 3381} into Egypt;⁴⁷¹⁴ for³⁵⁸⁸ I will there⁸⁰³³ make⁷⁷⁶⁰ of thee a great¹⁴¹⁹ nation:¹⁴⁷¹

4  I⁵⁹⁵ will go down³³⁸¹ with⁵⁹⁷³ thee into Egypt;⁴⁷¹⁴ and I⁵⁹⁵ will also¹⁵⁷¹ surely bring thee up^{5927 5927} again: and Joseph³¹³⁰ shall put⁷⁸⁹⁶ his hand³⁰²⁷ upon⁵⁹²¹ thine eyes.⁵⁸⁶⁹

5  And Jacob³²⁹⁰ rose up⁶⁹⁶⁵ from Beer-sheba:^{4480 884} and the sons¹¹²¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ carried^{5375 853} Jacob³²⁹⁰ their father,¹ and their little ones,²⁹⁴⁵ and their wives,⁸⁰² in the wagons⁵⁶⁹⁹ which⁸³⁴ Pharaoh⁶⁵⁴⁷ had sent⁷⁹⁷¹ to carry⁵³⁷⁵ him.

6  And they took^{3947 853} their cattle,⁴⁷³⁵ and their goods,⁷³⁹⁹ which⁸³⁴ they had gotten⁷⁴⁰⁸ in the land⁷⁷⁶ of Canaan,³⁶⁶⁷ and came⁹³⁵ into Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ Jacob,³²⁹⁰ and all³⁶⁰⁵ his seed²²³³ with⁸⁵⁴ him:

7  His sons,¹¹²¹ and his sons'¹¹²¹ sons¹¹²¹ with⁸⁵⁴ him, his daughters,¹³²³ and his sons'¹¹²¹ daughters,¹³²³ and all³⁶⁰⁵ his seed²²³³ brought⁹³⁵ he with⁸⁵⁴ him into Egypt.⁴⁷¹⁴

8  And these⁴²⁸ are the names⁸⁰³⁴ of the children¹¹²¹ of Israel,³⁴⁷⁸ which came⁹³⁵ into Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ Jacob³²⁹⁰ and his sons:¹¹²¹ Reuben,⁷²⁰⁵ Jacob's³²⁹⁰ firstborn.¹⁰⁶⁰

9  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Reuben;⁷²⁰⁵ Hanoch,²⁵⁸⁵ and Phallu,⁶³⁹⁶ and Hezron,²⁶⁹⁶ and Carmi.³⁷⁵⁶

10  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Simeon;⁸⁰⁹⁵ Jemuel,³²²³ and Jamin,³²²⁶ and Ohad,¹⁶¹ and Jachin,³¹⁹⁹ and Zohar,⁶⁷¹⁴ and Shaul⁷⁵⁸⁶ the son¹¹²¹ of a Canaanitish woman.³⁶⁶⁹

11  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Levi;³⁸⁷⁸ Gershon,¹⁶⁴⁸ Kohath,⁶⁹⁵⁵ and Merari.⁴⁸⁴⁷

12  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Judah;³⁰⁶³ Er,⁶¹⁴⁷ and Onan,²⁰⁹ and Shelah,⁷⁹⁵⁶ and Pharez,⁶⁵⁵⁷ and Zerah:²²²⁶ but Er⁶¹⁴⁷ and Onan²⁰⁹ died⁴¹⁹¹ in the land⁷⁷⁶ of Canaan.³⁶⁶⁷ And the sons¹¹²¹ of Pharez⁶⁵⁵⁷ were¹⁹⁶¹ Hezron²⁶⁹⁶ and Hamul.²⁵³⁸

13  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Issachar;³⁴⁸⁵ Tola,⁸⁴³⁹ and Phuvah,⁶³¹² and Job,³¹⁰² and Shimron.⁸¹¹⁰

14  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Zebulun;²⁰⁷⁴ Sered,⁵⁶²⁴ and Elon,³⁵⁶ and Jahleel.³¹⁷⁷

15  These⁴²⁸ be the sons¹¹²¹ of Leah,³⁸¹² which⁸³⁴ she bore³²⁰⁵ unto Jacob³²⁹⁰ in Padan-aram,⁶³⁰⁷ with⁸⁵⁴ his daughter¹³²³ Dinah:¹⁷⁸³ all³⁶⁰⁵ the souls⁵³¹⁵ of his sons¹¹²¹ and his daughters¹³²³ were thirty⁷⁹⁷⁰ and three.⁷⁹⁶⁹

16  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Gad;¹⁴¹⁰ Ziphion,⁶⁸³⁷ and Haggi,²²⁹¹ Shuni,⁷⁷⁶⁴ and Ezbon,⁶⁷⁵ Eri,⁶¹⁷⁹ and Arodi,⁷²² and Areli.⁶⁹²

17  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Asher;⁸³⁶ Jimnah,³²³² and Ishuah,³⁴³⁸ and Isui,³⁴⁴⁰ and Beriah,¹²⁸³ and Serah⁸²⁹⁴ their sister:²⁶⁹ and the sons¹¹²¹ of Beriah;¹²⁸³ Heber,²²⁶⁸ and Malchiel.⁴⁴³⁹

18  These⁴²⁸ are the sons¹¹²¹ of Zilpah,²¹⁵³ whom⁸³⁴ Laban³⁸³⁷ gave⁵⁴¹⁴ to Leah³⁸¹² his daughter,¹³²³ and ⁸⁵³ these⁴²⁸ she bore³²⁰⁵ unto Jacob,³²⁹⁰ even sixteen^{8337 6240} souls.⁵³¹⁵

19  The sons¹¹²¹ of Rachel⁷³⁵⁴ Jacob's³²⁹⁰ wife;⁸⁰² Joseph,³¹³⁰ and Benjamin.¹¹⁴⁴

20  And unto Joseph³¹³⁰ in the land⁷⁷⁶ of Egypt⁴⁷¹⁴ were born^{3205 853} Manasseh⁴⁵¹⁹ and Ephraim,⁶⁶⁹ which⁸³⁴ Asenath⁶²¹ the daughter¹³²³ of Poti-pherah⁶³¹⁹ priest³⁵⁴⁸ of On²⁰⁴ bore³²⁰⁵ unto him.

21  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Benjamin¹¹⁴⁴ were Belah,¹¹⁰⁶ and Becher,¹⁰⁷¹ and Ashbel,⁷⁸⁸ Gera,¹⁶¹⁷ and Naaman,⁵²⁸³ Ehi,²⁷⁸ and Rosh,⁷²²⁰ Muppim,⁴⁶⁴⁹ and Huppim,²⁶⁵⁰ and Ard.⁷¹⁴

22  These⁴²⁸ are the sons¹¹²¹ of Rachel,⁷³⁵⁴ which⁸³⁴ were born³²⁰⁵ to Jacob:³²⁹⁰ all³⁶⁰⁵ the souls⁵³¹⁵ were fourteen.^{702 6240}

23  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Dan;¹⁸³⁵ Hushim.²³⁶⁶

24  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Naphtali;⁵³²¹ Jahzeel,³¹⁸³ and Guni,¹⁴⁷⁶ and Jezer,³³³⁷ and Shillem.⁸⁰⁰⁶

25  These⁴²⁸ are the sons¹¹²¹ of Bilhah,¹⁰⁹⁰ which⁸³⁴ Laban³⁸³⁷ gave⁵⁴¹⁴ unto Rachel⁷³⁵⁴ his daughter,¹³²³ and she bore^{3205 853} these⁴²⁸ unto Jacob:³²⁹⁰ all³⁶⁰⁵ the souls⁵³¹⁵ were seven.⁷⁶⁵¹

26  All³⁶⁰⁵ the souls⁵³¹⁵ that came⁹³⁵ with Jacob³²⁹⁰ into Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ which came out³³¹⁸ of his loins,³⁴⁰⁹ besides^{4480 905} Jacob's³²⁹⁰ sons'¹¹²¹ wives,⁸⁰² all³⁶⁰⁵ the souls⁵³¹⁵ were threescore⁸³⁴⁶ and six;⁸³³⁷

27  And the sons¹¹²¹ of Joseph,³¹³⁰ which⁸³⁴ were born³²⁰⁵ him in Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ were two⁸¹⁴⁷ souls:⁵³¹⁵ all³⁶⁰⁵ the souls⁵³¹⁵ of the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Jacob,³²⁹⁰ which came⁹³⁵ into Egypt,⁴⁷¹⁴ were threescore and ten.⁷⁶⁵⁷

28  And he sent⁷⁹⁷¹ Judah³⁰⁶³ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ him unto⁴¹³ Joseph,³¹³⁰ to direct³³⁸⁴ his face⁶⁴⁴⁰ unto Goshen;¹⁶⁵⁷ and they came⁹³⁵ into the land⁷⁷⁶ of Goshen.¹⁶⁵⁷

29  And Joseph³¹³⁰ made ready⁶³¹ his chariot,⁴⁸¹⁸ and went up⁵⁹²⁷ to meet⁷¹²⁵ Israel³⁴⁷⁸ his father,¹ to Goshen,¹⁶⁵⁷ and presented himself⁷²⁰⁰ unto⁴¹³ him; and he fell⁵³⁰⁷ on⁵⁹²¹ his neck,⁶⁶⁷⁷ and wept¹⁰⁵⁸ on⁵⁹²¹ his neck⁶⁶⁷⁷ a good while.⁵⁷⁵⁰

30  And Israel³⁴⁷⁸ said⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ Joseph,³¹³⁰ Now⁶⁴⁷¹ let me die,⁴¹⁹¹ since³¹⁰ I have seen^{7200 853} thy face,⁶⁴⁴⁰ because³⁵⁸⁸ thou art yet⁵⁷⁵⁰ alive.²⁴¹⁶

31  And Joseph³¹³⁰ said⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ his brethren,²⁵¹ and unto⁴¹³ his father's¹ house,¹⁰⁰⁴ I will go up,⁵⁹²⁷ and show⁵⁰⁴⁶ Pharaoh,⁶⁵⁴⁷ and say⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ him, My brethren,²⁵¹ and my father's¹ house,¹⁰⁰⁴ which⁸³⁴ were in the land⁷⁷⁶ of Canaan,³⁶⁶⁷ are come⁹³⁵ unto⁴¹³ me;

32  And the men³⁷⁶ are shepherds,^{7462 6629} for³⁵⁸⁸ their trade³⁷⁶ hath been¹⁹⁶¹ to feed cattle;⁴⁷³⁵ and they have brought⁹³⁵ their flocks,⁶⁶²⁹ and their herds,¹²⁴¹ and all³⁶⁰⁵ that⁸³⁴ they have.

33  And it shall come to pass,¹⁹⁶¹ when³⁵⁸⁸ Pharaoh⁶⁵⁴⁷ shall call⁷¹²¹ you, and shall say,⁵⁵⁹ What⁴¹⁰⁰ is your occupation?⁴⁶³⁹

34  That ye shall say,⁵⁵⁹ Thy servants'⁵⁶⁵⁰ trade³⁷⁶ hath been¹⁹⁶¹ about cattle⁴⁷³⁵ from our youth^{4480 5271} even until⁵⁷⁰⁴ now,⁶²⁵⁸ both¹⁵⁷¹ we,⁵⁸⁷ and also¹⁵⁷¹ our fathers:¹ that⁵⁶⁶⁸ ye may dwell³⁴²⁷ in the land⁷⁷⁶ of Goshen;¹⁶⁵⁷ for³⁵⁸⁸ every³⁶⁰⁵ shepherd^{7462 6629} is an abomination⁸⁴⁴¹ unto the Egyptians.⁴⁷¹⁴

1 ἀπάρας δὲ Ισραηλ αὐτὸς καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτοῦ ἦλθεν ἐπὶ τὸ φρέαρ τοῦ ὅρκου καὶ ἔθυσεν θυσίαν τῷ θεῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ Ισαακ

2 εἶπεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐν ὁράματι τῆς νυκτὸς εἴπας Ιακωβ Ιακωβ ὁ δὲ εἶπεν τί ἐστιν

3 λέγων ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων σου μὴ φοβοῦ καταβῆναι εἰς Αἴγυπτον εἰς γὰρ ἔθνος μέγα ποιήσω σε ἐκεῖ

4 καὶ ἐγὼ καταβήσομαι μετὰ σοῦ εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ ἐγὼ ἀναβιβάσω σε εἰς τέλος καὶ Ιωσηφ ἐπιβαλεῖ τὰς χεῖρας ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου

5 ἀνέστη δὲ Ιακωβ ἀπὸ τοῦ φρέατος τοῦ ὅρκου καὶ ἀνέλαβον οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν καὶ τὴν ἀποσκευὴν καὶ τὰς γυναῖκας αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰς ἁμάξας ἃς ἀπέστειλεν Ιωσηφ ἆραι αὐτόν

6 καὶ ἀναλαβόντες τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτῶν καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν κτῆσιν ἣν ἐκτήσαντο ἐν γῇ Χανααν εἰσῆλθον εἰς Αἴγυπτον Ιακωβ καὶ πᾶν τὸ σπέρμα αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ

7 υἱοὶ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ θυγατέρες καὶ θυγατέρες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ πᾶν τὸ σπέρμα αὐτοῦ ἤγαγεν εἰς Αἴγυπτον

8 ταῦτα δὲ τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ τῶν εἰσελθόντων εἰς Αἴγυπτον Ιακωβ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ πρωτότοκος Ιακωβ Ρουβην

9 υἱοὶ δὲ Ρουβην Ενωχ καὶ Φαλλους Ασρων καὶ Χαρμι

10 υἱοὶ δὲ Συμεων Ιεμουηλ καὶ Ιαμιν καὶ Αωδ καὶ Ιαχιν καὶ Σααρ καὶ Σαουλ υἱὸς τῆς Χανανίτιδος

11 υἱοὶ δὲ Λευι Γηρσων Κααθ καὶ Μεραρι

12 υἱοὶ δὲ Ιουδα Ηρ καὶ Αυναν καὶ Σηλωμ καὶ Φαρες καὶ Ζαρα ἀπέθανεν δὲ Ηρ καὶ Αυναν ἐν γῇ Χανααν ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Φαρες Ασρων καὶ Ιεμουηλ

13 υἱοὶ δὲ Ισσαχαρ Θωλα καὶ Φουα καὶ Ιασουβ καὶ Ζαμβραμ

14 υἱοὶ δὲ Ζαβουλων Σερεδ καὶ Αλλων καὶ Αλοηλ

15 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Λειας οὓς ἔτεκεν τῷ Ιακωβ ἐν Μεσοποταμίᾳ τῆς Συρίας καὶ Διναν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ πᾶσαι αἱ ψυχαί υἱοὶ καὶ θυγατέρες τριάκοντα τρεῖς

16 υἱοὶ δὲ Γαδ Σαφων καὶ Αγγις καὶ Σαυνις καὶ Θασοβαν καὶ Αηδις καὶ Αροηδις καὶ Αροηλις

17 υἱοὶ δὲ Ασηρ Ιεμνα καὶ Ιεσουα καὶ Ιεουλ καὶ Βαρια καὶ Σαρα ἀδελφὴ αὐτῶν υἱοὶ δὲ Βαρια Χοβορ καὶ Μελχιηλ

18 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ζελφας ἣν ἔδωκεν Λαβαν Λεια τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ ἣ ἔτεκεν τούτους τῷ Ιακωβ δέκα ἓξ ψυχάς

19 υἱοὶ δὲ Ραχηλ γυναικὸς Ιακωβ Ιωσηφ καὶ Βενιαμιν

20 ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Ιωσηφ ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ οὓς ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ Ασεννεθ θυγάτηρ Πετεφρη ἱερέως Ἡλίου πόλεως τὸν Μανασση καὶ τὸν Εφραιμ ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Μανασση οὓς ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ ἡ παλλακὴ ἡ Σύρα τὸν Μαχιρ Μαχιρ δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Γαλααδ υἱοὶ δὲ Εφραιμ ἀδελφοῦ Μανασση Σουταλααμ καὶ Τααμ υἱοὶ δὲ Σουταλααμ Εδεμ

21 υἱοὶ δὲ Βενιαμιν Βαλα καὶ Χοβωρ καὶ Ασβηλ ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Βαλα Γηρα καὶ Νοεμαν καὶ Αγχις καὶ Ρως καὶ Μαμφιν καὶ Οφιμιν Γηρα δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αραδ

22 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ραχηλ οὓς ἔτεκεν τῷ Ιακωβ πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ δέκα ὀκτώ

23 υἱοὶ δὲ Δαν Ασομ

24 καὶ υἱοὶ Νεφθαλι Ασιηλ καὶ Γωυνι καὶ Ισσααρ καὶ Συλλημ

25 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Βαλλας ἣν ἔδωκεν Λαβαν Ραχηλ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ ἣ ἔτεκεν τούτους τῷ Ιακωβ πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ ἑπτά

26 πᾶσαι δὲ ψυχαὶ αἱ εἰσελθοῦσαι μετὰ Ιακωβ εἰς Αἴγυπτον οἱ ἐξελθόντες ἐκ τῶν μηρῶν αὐτοῦ χωρὶς τῶν γυναικῶν υἱῶν Ιακωβ πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ ἑξήκοντα ἕξ

27 υἱοὶ δὲ Ιωσηφ οἱ γενόμενοι αὐτῷ ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ψυχαὶ ἐννέα πᾶσαι ψυχαὶ οἴκου Ιακωβ αἱ εἰσελθοῦσαι εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἑβδομήκοντα πέντε

28 τὸν δὲ Ιουδαν ἀπέστειλεν ἔμπροσθεν αὐτοῦ πρὸς Ιωσηφ συναντῆσαι αὐτῷ καθ᾽ Ἡρώων πόλιν εἰς γῆν Ραμεσση

29 ζεύξας δὲ Ιωσηφ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτοῦ ἀνέβη εἰς συνάντησιν Ισραηλ τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ καθ᾽ Ἡρώων πόλιν καὶ ὀφθεὶς αὐτῷ ἐπέπεσεν ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔκλαυσεν κλαυθμῷ πλείονι

30 καὶ εἶπεν Ισραηλ πρὸς Ιωσηφ ἀποθανοῦμαι ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν ἐπεὶ ἑώρακα τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἔτι γὰρ σὺ ζῇς

31 εἶπεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ ἀναβὰς ἀπαγγελῶ τῷ Φαραω καὶ ἐρῶ αὐτῷ οἱ ἀδελφοί μου καὶ ὁ οἶκος τοῦ πατρός μου οἳ ἦσαν ἐν γῇ Χανααν ἥκασιν πρός με

32 οἱ δὲ ἄνδρες εἰσὶν ποιμένες ἄνδρες γὰρ κτηνοτρόφοι ἦσαν καὶ τὰ κτήνη καὶ τοὺς βόας καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτῶν ἀγειόχασιν

33 ἐὰν οὖν καλέσῃ ὑμᾶς Φαραω καὶ εἴπῃ ὑμῖν τί τὸ ἔργον ὑμῶν ἐστιν

34 ἐρεῖτε ἄνδρες κτηνοτρόφοι ἐσμὲν οἱ παῖδές σου ἐκ παιδὸς ἕως τοῦ νῦν καὶ ἡμεῖς καὶ οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν ἵνα κατοικήσητε ἐν γῇ Γεσεμ Ἀραβίᾳ βδέλυγμα γάρ ἐστιν Αἰγυπτίοις πᾶς ποιμὴν προβάτων

‎1 ‏וַיִּסַּ֤ע יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־ל֔וֹ וַיָּבֹ֖א בְּאֵ֣רָה שָּׁ֑בַע וַיִּזְבַּ֣ח זְבָחִ֔ים לֵאלֹהֵ֖י אָבִ֥יו יִצְחָֽק׃

‎2 ‏וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּמַרְאֹ֣ת הַלַּ֔יְלָה וַיֹּ֖אמֶר יַעֲקֹ֣ב׀ יַעֲקֹ֑ב וַיֹּ֖אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃

‎3 ‏וַיֹּ֕אמֶר אָנֹכִ֥י הָאֵ֖ל אֱלֹהֵ֣י אָבִ֑יךָ אַל־תִּירָא֙ מֵרְדָ֣ה מִצְרַ֔יְמָה כִּֽי־לְג֥וֹי גָּד֖וֹל אֲשִֽׂימְךָ֥ שָֽׁם׃

‎4 ‏אָנֹכִ֗י אֵרֵ֤ד עִמְּךָ֙ מִצְרַ֔יְמָה וְאָנֹכִ֖י אַֽעַלְךָ֣ גַם־עָלֹ֑ה וְיוֹסֵ֕ף יָשִׁ֥ית יָד֖וֹ עַל־עֵינֶֽיךָ׃

‎5 ‏וַיָּ֥קָם יַעֲקֹ֖ב מִבְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע וַיִּשְׂא֨וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶת־יַעֲקֹ֣ב אֲבִיהֶ֗ם וְאֶת־טַפָּם֙ וְאֶת־נְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם בָּעֲגָל֕וֹת אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַ֥ח פַּרְעֹ֖ה לָשֵׂ֥את אֹתֽוֹ׃

‎6 ‏וַיִּקְח֣וּ אֶת־מִקְנֵיהֶ֗ם וְאֶת־רְכוּשָׁם֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר רָֽכְשׁוּ֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ מִצְרָ֑יְמָה יַעֲקֹ֖ב וְכָל־זַרְע֥וֹ אִתּֽוֹ׃

‎7 ‏בָּנָ֞יו וּבְנֵ֤י בָנָיו֙ אִתּ֔וֹ בְּנֹתָ֛יו וּבְנ֥וֹת בָּנָ֖יו וְכָל־זַרְע֑וֹ הֵבִ֥יא אִתּ֖וֹ מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ ס

‎8 ‏וְאֵ֨לֶּה שְׁמ֧וֹת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל הַבָּאִ֥ים מִצְרַ֖יְמָה יַעֲקֹ֣ב וּבָנָ֑יו בְּכֹ֥ר יַעֲקֹ֖ב רְאוּבֵֽן׃

‎9 ‏וּבְנֵ֖י רְאוּבֵ֑ן חֲנ֥וֹךְ וּפַלּ֖וּא וְחֶצְר֥וֹן וְכַרְמִֽי׃

‎10 ‏וּבְנֵ֣י שִׁמְע֗וֹן יְמוּאֵ֧ל וְיָמִ֛ין וְאֹ֖הַד וְיָכִ֣ין וְצֹ֑חַר וְשָׁא֖וּל בֶּן־הַֽכְּנַעֲנִֽית׃

‎11 ‏וּבְנֵ֖י לֵוִ֑י גֵּרְשׁ֕וֹן קְהָ֖ת וּמְרָרִֽי׃

‎12 ‏וּבְנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה עֵ֧ר וְאוֹנָ֛ן וְשֵׁלָ֖ה וָפֶ֣רֶץ וָזָ֑רַח וַיָּ֨מָת עֵ֤ר וְאוֹנָן֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן וַיִּהְי֥וּ בְנֵי־פֶ֖רֶץ חֶצְר֥וֹן וְחָמֽוּל׃

‎13 ‏וּבְנֵ֖י יִשָׂשכָ֑ר תּוֹלָ֥ע וּפֻוָּ֖ה וְי֥וֹב וְשִׁמְרֽוֹן׃

‎14 ‏וּבְנֵ֖י זְבוּלֻ֑ן סֶ֥רֶד וְאֵל֖וֹן וְיַחְלְאֵֽל׃

‎15 ‏אֵ֣לֶּה׀ בְּנֵ֣י לֵאָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָֽלְדָ֤ה לְיַעֲקֹב֙ בְּפַדַּ֣ן אֲרָ֔ם וְאֵ֖ת דִּינָ֣ה בִתּ֑וֹ כָּל־נֶ֧פֶשׁ בָּנָ֛יו וּבְנוֹתָ֖יו שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים וְשָׁלֹֽשׁ׃

‎16 ‏וּבְנֵ֣י גָ֔ד צִפְי֥וֹן וְחַגִּ֖י שׁוּנִ֣י וְאֶצְבֹּ֑ן עֵרִ֥י וַֽאֲרוֹדִ֖י וְאַרְאֵלִֽי׃

‎17 ‏וּבְנֵ֣י אָשֵׁ֗ר יִמְנָ֧ה וְיִשְׁוָ֛ה וְיִשְׁוִ֥י וּבְרִיעָ֖ה וְשֶׂ֣רַח אֲחֹתָ֑ם וּבְנֵ֣י בְרִיעָ֔ה חֶ֖בֶר וּמַלְכִּיאֵֽל׃

‎18 ‏אֵ֚לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י זִלְפָּ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥ן לָבָ֖ן לְלֵאָ֣ה בִתּ֑וֹ וַתֵּ֤לֶד אֶת־אֵ֙לֶּה֙ לְיַעֲקֹ֔ב שֵׁ֥שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה נָֽפֶשׁ׃

‎19 ‏בְּנֵ֤י רָחֵל֙ אֵ֣שֶׁת יַעֲקֹ֔ב³ יוֹסֵ֖ף וּבִנְיָמִֽן׃

‎20 ‏וַיִּוָּלֵ֣ד לְיוֹסֵף֮ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַיִם֒ אֲשֶׁ֤ר יָֽלְדָה־לּוֹ֙ אָֽסְנַ֔ת בַּת־פּ֥וֹטִי פֶ֖רַע כֹּהֵ֣ן אֹ֑ן אֶת־מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה וְאֶת־אֶפְרָֽיִם׃

‎21 ‏וּבְנֵ֣י בִנְיָמִ֗ן בֶּ֤לַע וָבֶ֙כֶר֙ וְאַשְׁבֵּ֔ל גֵּרָ֥א וְנַעֲמָ֖ן אֵחִ֣י וָרֹ֑אשׁ מֻפִּ֥ים וְחֻפִּ֖ים וָאָֽרְדְּ׃

‎22 ‏אֵ֚לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י רָחֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יֻלַּ֖ד לְיַעֲקֹ֑ב כָּל־נֶ֖פֶשׁ אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָֽׂר׃

‎23 ‏וּבְנֵי־דָ֖ן חֻשִֽׁים׃

‎24 ‏וּבְנֵ֖י נַפְתָּלִ֑י יַחְצְאֵ֥ל וְגוּנִ֖י וְיֵ֥צֶר וְשִׁלֵּֽם׃

‎25 ‏אֵ֚לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י בִלְהָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥ן לָבָ֖ן לְרָחֵ֣ל בִּתּ֑וֹ וַתֵּ֧לֶד אֶת־אֵ֛לֶּה לְיַעֲקֹ֖ב כָּל־נֶ֥פֶשׁ שִׁבְעָֽה׃

‎26 ‏כָּל־הַ֠נֶּפֶשׁ הַבָּאָ֨ה לְיַעֲקֹ֤ב מִצְרַ֙יְמָה֙ יֹצְאֵ֣י יְרֵכ֔וֹ מִלְּבַ֖ד נְשֵׁ֣י בְנֵי־יַעֲקֹ֑ב כָּל־נֶ֖פֶשׁ שִׁשִּׁ֥ים וָשֵֽׁשׁ׃

‎27 ‏וּבְנֵ֥י יוֹסֵ֛ף אֲשֶׁר־יֻלַּד־ל֥וֹ בְמִצְרַ֖יִם נֶ֣פֶשׁ שְׁנָ֑יִם כָּל־הַנֶּ֧פֶשׁ לְבֵֽית־יַעֲקֹ֛ב הַבָּ֥אָה מִצְרַ֖יְמָה שִׁבְעִֽים׃ פ

‎28 ‏וְאֶת־יְהוּדָ֞ה שָׁלַ֤ח לְפָנָיו֙ אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף לְהוֹרֹ֥ת לְפָנָ֖יו גֹּ֑שְׁנָה וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ אַ֥רְצָה גֹּֽשֶׁן׃

‎29 ‏וַיֶּאְסֹ֤ר יוֹסֵף֙ מֶרְכַּבְתּ֔וֹ וַיַּ֛עַל לִקְרַֽאת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל אָבִ֖יו גֹּ֑שְׁנָה וַיֵּרָ֣א אֵלָ֗יו וַיִּפֹּל֙ עַל־צַוָּארָ֔יו וַיֵּ֥בְךְּ עַל־צַוָּארָ֖יו עֽוֹד׃

‎30 ‏וַיֹּ֧אמֶר יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶל־יוֹסֵ֖ף אָמ֣וּתָה הַפָּ֑עַם אַחֲרֵי֙ רְאוֹתִ֣י אֶת־פָּנֶ֔יךָ כִּ֥י עוֹדְךָ֖ חָֽי׃

‎31 ‏וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יוֹסֵ֤ף אֶל־אֶחָיו֙ וְאֶל־בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֔יו אֶעֱלֶ֖ה וְאַגִּ֣ידָה לְפַרְעֹ֑ה וְאֹֽמְרָ֣ה אֵלָ֔יו אַחַ֧י וּבֵית־אָבִ֛י אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּאֶֽרֶץ־כְּנַ֖עַן בָּ֥אוּ אֵלָֽי׃

‎32 ‏וְהָאֲנָשִׁים֙ רֹ֣עֵי צֹ֔אן כִּֽי־אַנְשֵׁ֥י מִקְנֶ֖ה הָ֑יוּ וְצֹאנָ֧ם וּבְקָרָ֛ם וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר לָהֶ֖ם הֵבִֽיאוּ׃

‎33 ‏וְהָיָ֕ה כִּֽי־יִקְרָ֥א לָכֶ֖ם פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְאָמַ֖ר מַה־מַּעֲשֵׂיכֶֽם׃

‎34 ‏וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֗ם אַנְשֵׁ֨י מִקְנֶ֜ה הָי֤וּ עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ מִנְּעוּרֵ֣ינוּ וְעַד־עַ֔תָּה גַּם־אֲנַ֖חְנוּ גַּם־אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ בַּעֲב֗וּר תֵּשְׁבוּ֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ גֹּ֔שֶׁן כִּֽי־תוֹעֲבַ֥ת מִצְרַ֖יִם כָּל־רֹ֥עֵה צֹֽאן׃

Vul

1 Profectusque Israël cum omnibus quæ habebat, venit ad Puteum juramenti: et mactatis ibi victimis Deo patris sui Isaac,

2 audivit eum per visionem noctis vocantem se, et dicentem sibi: Jacob, Jacob. Cui respondit: Ecce adsum.

3 Ait illi Deus: Ego sum fortissimus Deus patris tui: noli timere, descende in Ægyptum, quia in gentem magnam faciam te ibi.

4 Ego descendam tecum illuc, et ego inde adducam te revertentem: Joseph quoque ponet manus suas super oculos tuos.

5 Surrexit autem Jacob a Puteo juramenti: tuleruntque eum filii cum parvulis et uxoribus suis in plaustris quæ miserat Pharao ad portandum senem,

6 et omnia quæ possederat in terra Chanaan: venitque in Ægyptum cum omni semine suo,

7 filii ejus, et nepotes, filiæ, et cuncta simul progenies.

8 Hæc sunt autem nomina filiorum Israël, qui ingressi sunt in Ægyptum, ipse cum liberis suis. Primogenitus Ruben.

19 Filii Rachel uxoris Jacob: Joseph et Benjamin.

20 Natique sunt Joseph filii in terra Ægypti, quos genuit ei Aseneth filia Putiphare sacerdotis Heliopoleos: Manasses et Ephraim.

21 Filii Benjamin: Bela et Bechor et Asbel et Gera et Naaman et Echi et Ros et Mophim et Ophim et Ared.

22 Hi filii Rachel quos genuit Jacob: omnes animæ, quatuordecim.

23 Filii Dan: Husim.

24 Filii Nephthali: Jasiel et Guni et Jeser et Sallem.

25 Hi filii Balæ, quam dedit Laban Racheli filiæ suæ: et hos genuit Jacob: omnes animæ, septem.

26 Cunctæ animæ, quæ ingressæ sunt cum Jacob in Ægyptum, et egressæ sunt de femore illius, absque uxoribus filiorum ejus, sexaginta sex.

27 Filii autem Joseph, qui nati sunt ei in terra Ægypti, animæ duæ. Omnes animæ domus Jacob, quæ ingressæ sunt in Ægyptum, fuere septuaginta.

28 Misit autem Judam ante se ad Joseph, ut nuntiaret ei, et occurreret in Gessen.

29 Quo cum pervenisset, juncto Joseph curro suo, ascendit obviam patri suo ad eumdem locum: vidensque eum, irruit super collum ejus, et inter amplexus flevit.

30 Dixitque pater ad Joseph: Jam lætus moriar, quia vidi faciem tuam, et superstitem te relinquo.

31 At ille locutus est ad fratres suos, et ad omnem domum patris sui: Ascendam, et nuntiabo Pharaoni, dicamque ei: Fratres mei, et domus patris mei, qui erant in terra Chanaan, venerunt ad me:

32 et sunt viri pastores ovium, curamque habent alendorum gregum: pecora sua, et armenta, et omnia quæ habere potuerunt, adduxerunt secum.

33 Cumque vocaverit vos, et dixerit: Quod est opus vestrum?

34 respondebitis: Viri pastores sumus servi tui, ab infantia nostra usque in præsens, et nos et patres nostri. Hæc autem dicetis, ut habitare possitis in terra Gessen: quia detestantur Ægyptii omnes pastores ovium.
