1 μετὰ τοῦτο εἶδον τέσσαρας ἀγγέλους ἑστῶτας ἐπὶ τὰς τέσσαρας γωνίας τῆς γῆς, κρατοῦντας τοὺς τέσσαρας ἀνέμους τῆς γῆς, ἵνα μὴ πνέῃ ἄνεμος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς μήτε ἐπὶ τῆς θαλάσσης μήτε ἐπὶ πᾶν δένδρον.

2 καὶ εἶδον ἄλλον ἄγγελον ἀναβαίνοντα ἀπὸ ἀνατολῆς ἡλίου, ἔχοντα σφραγῖδα θεοῦ ζῶντος, καὶ ἔκραξεν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ τοῖς τέσσαρσιν ἀγγέλοις οἷς ἐδόθη αὐτοῖς ἀδικῆσαι τὴν γῆν καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν,

3 λέγων, μὴ ἀδικήσητε τὴν γῆν μήτε τὴν θάλασσαν μήτε τὰ δένδρα ἄχρι σφραγίσωμεν τοὺς δούλους τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἐπὶ τῶν μετώπων αὐτῶν.

4 καὶ ἤκουσα τὸν ἀριθμὸν τῶν ἐσφραγισμένων, ἑκατὸν τεσσεράκοντα τέσσαρες χιλιάδες, ἐσφραγισμένοι ἐκ πάσης φυλῆς υἱῶν ἰσραήλ·

5 ἐκ φυλῆς ἰούδα δώδεκα χιλιάδες ἐσφραγισμένοι, ἐκ φυλῆς ῥουβὴν δώδεκα χιλιάδες, ἐκ φυλῆς γὰδ δώδεκα χιλιάδες,

6 ἐκ φυλῆς ἀσὴρ δώδεκα χιλιάδες, ἐκ φυλῆς νεφθαλὶμ δώδεκα χιλιάδες, ἐκ φυλῆς μανασσῆ δώδεκα χιλιάδες,

7 ἐκ φυλῆς συμεὼν δώδεκα χιλιάδες, ἐκ φυλῆς λευὶ δώδεκα χιλιάδες, ἐκ φυλῆς ἰσσαχὰρ δώδεκα χιλιάδες,

8 ἐκ φυλῆς ζαβουλὼν δώδεκα χιλιάδες, ἐκ φυλῆς ἰωσὴφ δώδεκα χιλιάδες, ἐκ φυλῆς βενιαμὶν δώδεκα χιλιάδες ἐσφραγισμένοι.

9 μετὰ ταῦτα εἶδον, καὶ ἰδοὺ ὄχλος πολύς, ὃν ἀριθμῆσαι αὐτὸν οὐδεὶς ἐδύνατο, ἐκ παντὸς ἔθνους καὶ φυλῶν καὶ λαῶν καὶ γλωσσῶν, ἑστῶτες ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου καὶ ἐνώπιον τοῦ ἀρνίου, περιβεβλημένους στολὰς λευκάς, καὶ φοίνικες ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῶν·

10 καὶ κράζουσιν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ λέγοντες, ἡ σωτηρία τῶ θεῶ ἡμῶν τῶ καθημένῳ ἐπὶ τῶ θρόνῳ καὶ τῶ ἀρνίῳ.

11 καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄγγελοι εἱστήκεισαν κύκλῳ τοῦ θρόνου καὶ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων καὶ τῶν τεσσάρων ζῴων, καὶ ἔπεσαν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου ἐπὶ τὰ πρόσωπα αὐτῶν καὶ προσεκύνησαν τῶ θεῶ,

12 λέγοντες, ἀμήν· ἡ εὐλογία καὶ ἡ δόξα καὶ ἡ σοφία καὶ ἡ εὐχαριστία καὶ ἡ τιμὴ καὶ ἡ δύναμις καὶ ἡ ἰσχὺς τῶ θεῶ ἡμῶν εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων· ἀμήν.

13 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη εἷς ἐκ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων λέγων μοι, οὖτοι οἱ περιβεβλημένοι τὰς στολὰς τὰς λευκὰς τίνες εἰσὶν καὶ πόθεν ἦλθον;

14 καὶ εἴρηκα αὐτῶ, κύριέ μου, σὺ οἶδας. καὶ εἶπέν μοι, οὖτοί εἰσιν οἱ ἐρχόμενοι ἐκ τῆς θλίψεως τῆς μεγάλης, καὶ ἔπλυναν τὰς στολὰς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐλεύκαναν αὐτὰς ἐν τῶ αἵματι τοῦ ἀρνίου.

15 διὰ τοῦτό εἰσιν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ λατρεύουσιν αὐτῶ ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς ἐν τῶ ναῶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου σκηνώσει ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς.

16 οὐ πεινάσουσιν ἔτι οὐδὲ διψήσουσιν ἔτι, οὐδὲ μὴ πέσῃ ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ὁ ἥλιος οὐδὲ πᾶν καῦμα,

17 ὅτι τὸ ἀρνίον τὸ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ θρόνου ποιμανεῖ αὐτούς, καὶ ὁδηγήσει αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ ζωῆς πηγὰς ὑδάτων· καὶ ἐξαλείψει ὁ θεὸς πᾶν δάκρυον ἐκ τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν.

1  And²⁵³² after³³²⁶ these things⁵⁰²³ I saw¹⁴⁹² four⁵⁰⁶⁴ angels³² standing²⁴⁷⁶ on¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ four⁵⁰⁶⁴ corners¹¹³⁷ of the³⁵⁸⁸ earth,¹⁰⁹³ holding²⁹⁰² the³⁵⁸⁸ four⁵⁰⁶⁴ winds⁴¹⁷ of the³⁵⁸⁸ earth,¹⁰⁹³ that²⁴⁴³ the wind⁴¹⁷ should not³³⁶¹ blow⁴¹⁵⁴ on¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ earth,¹⁰⁹³ nor³³⁸³ on¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ sea,²²⁸¹ nor³³⁸³ on¹⁹⁰⁹ any³⁹⁵⁶ tree.¹¹⁸⁶

2  And²⁵³² I saw¹⁴⁹² another²⁴³ angel³² ascending³⁰⁵ from⁵⁷⁵ the east,^{395 2246} having²¹⁹² the seal⁴⁹⁷³ of the living²¹⁹⁸ God:²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² he cried²⁸⁹⁶ with a loud³¹⁷³ voice⁵⁴⁵⁶ to the³⁵⁸⁸ four⁵⁰⁶⁴ angels,³² to whom³⁷³⁹ it was given¹³²⁵ to⁸⁴⁶ hurt⁹¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ earth¹⁰⁹³ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ sea,²²⁸¹

3  Saying,³⁰⁰⁴ Hurt⁹¹ not³³⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ earth,¹⁰⁹³ neither³³⁸³ the³⁵⁸⁸ sea,²²⁸¹ nor³³⁸³ the³⁵⁸⁸ trees,¹¹⁸⁶ till^{891 3757} we have sealed⁴⁹⁷² the³⁵⁸⁸ servants¹⁴⁰¹ of our²²⁵⁷ God²³¹⁶ in¹⁹⁰⁹ their⁸⁴⁸ foreheads.³³⁵⁹

4  And²⁵³² I heard¹⁹¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ number⁷⁰⁶ of them which were sealed:⁴⁹⁷² and there were sealed⁴⁹⁷² a hundred and forty and four thousand^{1540 5062 5064 5505} of¹⁵³⁷ all³⁹⁵⁶ the tribes⁵⁴⁴³ of the children⁵²⁰⁷ of Israel.²⁴⁷⁴

5  Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Judah²⁴⁵⁵ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵ Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Reuben⁴⁵⁰² were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵ Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Gad¹⁰⁴⁵ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵

6  Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Aser⁷⁶⁸ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵ Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Naphtali³⁵⁰⁸ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵ Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Manasses³¹²⁸ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵

7  Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Simeon⁴⁸²⁶ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵ Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Levi³⁰¹⁷ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵ Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Issachar²⁴⁶⁶ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵

8  Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Zebulun²¹⁹⁴ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵ Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Joseph²⁵⁰¹ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵ Of¹⁵³⁷ the tribe⁵⁴⁴³ of Benjamin⁹⁵⁸ were sealed⁴⁹⁷² twelve¹⁴²⁷ thousand.⁵⁵⁰⁵

9  After³³²⁶ this⁵⁰²³ I beheld,¹⁴⁹² and,²⁵³² lo,²⁴⁰⁰ a great⁴¹⁸³ multitude,³⁷⁹³ which³⁷³⁹ no man³⁷⁶² could¹⁴¹⁰ number,^{705 846} of¹⁵³⁷ all³⁹⁵⁶ nations,¹⁴⁸⁴ and²⁵³² kindreds,⁵⁴⁴³ and²⁵³² people,²⁹⁹² and²⁵³² tongues,¹¹⁰⁰ stood²⁴⁷⁶ before¹⁷⁹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ throne,²³⁶² and²⁵³² before¹⁷⁹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Lamb,⁷²¹ clothed⁴⁰¹⁶ with white³⁰²² robes,⁴⁷⁴⁹ and²⁵³² palms⁵⁴⁰⁴ in¹⁷²² their⁸⁴⁸ hands;⁵⁴⁹⁵

10  And²⁵³² cried²⁸⁹⁶ with a loud³¹⁷³ voice,⁵⁴⁵⁶ saying,³⁰⁰⁴ Salvation⁴⁹⁹¹ to our²²⁵⁷ God²³¹⁶ which sitteth²⁵²¹ upon¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ throne,²³⁶² and²⁵³² unto the³⁵⁸⁸ Lamb.⁷²¹

11  And²⁵³² all³⁹⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ angels³² stood²⁴⁷⁶ round about²⁹⁴⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ throne,²³⁶² and²⁵³² about the³⁵⁸⁸ elders⁴²⁴⁵ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ four⁵⁰⁶⁴ beasts,²²²⁶ and²⁵³² fell⁴⁰⁹⁸ before¹⁷⁹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ throne²³⁶² on¹⁹⁰⁹ their⁸⁴⁸ faces,⁴³⁸³ and²⁵³² worshiped⁴³⁵² God,²³¹⁶

12  Saying,³⁰⁰⁴ Amen:²⁸¹ Blessing,²¹²⁹ and²⁵³² glory,¹³⁹¹ and²⁵³² wisdom,⁴⁶⁷⁸ and²⁵³² thanksgiving,²¹⁶⁹ and²⁵³² honor,⁵⁰⁹² and²⁵³² power,¹⁴¹¹ and²⁵³² might,²⁴⁷⁹ be unto our²²⁵⁷ God²³¹⁶ forever and ever.^{1519 165 165} Amen.²⁸¹

13  And²⁵³² one¹⁵²⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ elders⁴²⁴⁵ answered,⁶¹¹ saying³⁰⁰⁴ unto me,³⁴²⁷ What⁵¹⁰¹ are¹⁵²⁶ these³⁷⁷⁸ which are arrayed⁴⁰¹⁶ in white³⁰²² robes?⁴⁷⁴⁹ and²⁵³² whence⁴¹⁵⁹ came²⁰⁶⁴ they?

14  And²⁵³² I said²⁰⁴⁶ unto him,⁸⁴⁶ Sir,²⁹⁶² thou⁴⁷⁷¹ knowest.¹⁴⁹² And²⁵³² he said²⁰³⁶ to me,³⁴²⁷ These³⁷⁷⁸ are¹⁵²⁶ they which came²⁰⁶⁴ out of¹⁵³⁷ great³¹⁷³ tribulation,²³⁴⁷ and²⁵³² have washed⁴¹⁵⁰ their⁸⁴⁸ robes,⁴⁷⁴⁹ and²⁵³² made them white^{3021 848} in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ blood¹²⁹ of the³⁵⁸⁸ Lamb.⁷²¹

15  Therefore^{1223 5124} are¹⁵²⁶ they before¹⁷⁹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ throne²³⁶² of God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² serve³⁰⁰⁰ him⁸⁴⁶ day²²⁵⁰ and²⁵³² night³⁵⁷¹ in¹⁷²² his⁸⁴⁸ temple:³⁴⁸⁵ and²⁵³² he that sitteth²⁵²¹ on¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ throne²³⁶² shall dwell⁴⁶³⁷ among¹⁹⁰⁹ them.⁸⁴⁶

16  They shall hunger³⁹⁸³ no³⁷⁵⁶ more,²⁰⁸⁹ neither³⁷⁶¹ thirst¹³⁷² any more;²⁰⁸⁹ neither^{3761 3361} shall the³⁵⁸⁸ sun²²⁴⁶ light⁴⁰⁹⁸ on¹⁹⁰⁹ them,⁸⁴⁶ nor³⁷⁶¹ any³⁹⁵⁶ heat.²⁷³⁸

17  For³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Lamb⁷²¹ which³⁵⁸⁸ is in³⁰³ the midst³³¹⁹ of the³⁵⁸⁸ throne²³⁶² shall feed⁴¹⁶⁵ them,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² shall lead³⁵⁹⁴ them⁸⁴⁶ unto¹⁹⁰⁹ living²¹⁹⁸ fountains⁴⁰⁷⁷ of waters:⁵²⁰⁴ and²⁵³² God²³¹⁶ shall wipe away¹⁸¹³ all³⁹⁵⁶ tears¹¹⁴⁴ from⁵⁷⁵ their⁸⁴⁸ eyes.³⁷⁸⁸

3 dicens: Nolite nocere terræ, et mari, neque arboribus, quoadusque signemus servos Dei nostri in frontibus eorum.

4 Et audivi numerum signatorum, centum quadraginta quatuor millia signati, ex omni tribu filiorum Israël.

9 Post hæc vidi turbam magnam, quam dinumerare nemo poterat, ex omnibus gentibus, et tribubus, et populis, et linguis: stantes ante thronum, et in conspectu Agni, amicti stolis albis, et palmæ in manibus eorum:

10 et clamabant voce magna, dicentes: Salus Deo nostro, qui sedet super thronum, et Agno.

11 Et omnes angeli stabant in circuitu throni, et seniorum, et quatuor animalium: et ceciderunt in conspectu throni in facies suas, et adoraverunt Deum,

12 dicentes: Amen. Benedictio, et claritas, et sapientia, et gratiarum actio, honor, et virtus, et fortitudo Deo nostro in sæcula sæculorum. Amen.

13 Et respondit unus de senioribus et dixit mihi: Hi, qui amicti sunt stolis albis, qui sunt? et unde venerunt?

14 Et dixi illi: Domine mi, tu scis. Et dixit mihi: Hi sunt, qui venerunt de tribulatione magna, et laverunt stolas suas, et dealbaverunt eas in sanguine Agni.

15 Ideo sunt ante thronum Dei, et serviunt ei die ac nocte in templo ejus: et qui sedet in throno, habitabit super illos:

16 non esurient, neque sitient amplius, nec cadet super illos sol, neque ullus æstus:

17 quoniam Agnus, qui in medio throni est, reget illos et deducet eos ad vitæ fontes aquarum, et absterget Deus omnem lacrimam ab oculis eorum.
